Last night, President Obama joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, making him the first sitting president to do so. Obama and Fallon opened the show with “Slow Jam the News,” before sitting down to talk about Obama’s final days in office and his plans after leaving the White House.
Barack and Michelle plan to stay in DC, but before settling into their new home, the President and First Lady are going to head to someplace warm.

“The last time you get on Air Force One, it’s your last flight you get to go anywhere you want,” said Obama, “Michelle and I will take a break somewhere, let the girls manage for themselves, hopefully they’ll be okay when we get back.”
However, while the President might be looking forward to taking a vacation, there’s one thing he’s definitely still preparing himself for — Malia’s graduation. Obama’s oldest daughter will be graduating from high school and plans to attend Harvard after taking a gap year.

The President admitted that he’s sure to get teary-eyed during the ceremony, but says, “I’ve got some sunglasses.”
While we’re going to be sad to see the Obama’s leave, there’s no denying that the family deserves a break. Still, just thinking about it brings tears to our eyes.
