The show follows a Black toddler who dreams of one day being a doctor. She offers medical care to her stuffed animal friends (and has captured the hearts of America in the process).
Despite the fact that the show has brought in more than $500 million in sales and is the only program on the network with a Black lead character, Disney Junior has not yet renewed the show.

No other show features a young black girl as a doctor. That kind of representation is incredibly important. #RenewDocMcStuffins

#RenewDocMcStuffins because she helps little black girls all over realize they are smart, beautiful, and able! Representation matters.

#RenewDocMcStuffins It's the reason my 2 y/o daughter could say stethoscope, otoscope, & sphygmomanometer. I still can't say the last 1.
