Earlier this year it was announced that R&B singer Michel’le would be receiving the Lifetime treatment — her own biopic, which, at the time, was tentatively titled The Michel’le Story.
Now, the upcoming TV movie has a new title, but will tell the same story.
Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me, will follow the singer’s rise to fame, being discovered by N.W.A.’s Eazy E and going platinum with Ruthless Records. The biopic will also focus on her relationship with Dr. Dre, who she dated, and her marriage to Suge Knight.

In an exclusive teaser shared via Billboard, the message “Behind the men who changed hip-hop is the woman who knows the truth” flashes across the screen as actress Rhyon Nicole Brown, who plays Michel’le in the biopic, appears with a parental advisory sticker across her mouth.
Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me premieres next month and we’re sure it’s one Lifetime biopic you won’t want to miss. You can check out the teaser, here.
