Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) picked up the endorsement of Higher Heights, the country’s largest political organization that seeks to harness and mobilize Black women voters, and of course, elect Black women to office.
The endorsement comes as Harris continues to trail behind in the polls, but her campaign continues to push along.
More recently, it was announced that Harris would lay off staff and cut costs in her campaign in an effort to keep up with her competitors and be “all in” on her Iowa strategy.
However, according to the Associated Press, Higher Heights co-founder said that the organization is standing behind Harris, due to her qualifications, her record as an elected official, and her push to highlight issues that affect Black women.
