Wendy Williams and her husband and longtime manager Kevin Hunter have called it quits.
Page Six has confirmed that Williams is divorcing her husband of nearly 22 years. The TV show host and star journalist’s lawyer confirmed the news.
Over the past few years, rumors of infidelity on Hunter’s part have repeatedly emerged in the national news. In the past Williams has dismissed the rumors, but it appears there was in fact trouble brewing in paradise.
Earlier this week, Williams, 54, was spotted not wearing her beloved wedding ring, which she rarely ever takes off, on her stylist’s social media feed, leading fans and celebrity news outlets to begin speculating about whether or not the couple had in fact officially ended their relationship.
On her hit daytime FOX talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, Williams recently came clean about her reoccurring battle with drug and alcohol addiction, even admitting that she’s been living in a sober house.
In March, Williams returned to her purple chair after a nearly two-month hiatus from the show to address her health. Just four weeks following her return, she announced a scheduled seasonal break from the show on April 1.
Williams and Hunter met in 1994 and tied the knot in 1997. Together they have one son, Kevin Hunter Jr., 19.
Williams, who has been public about her battle with Grave’s disease, has yet to comment publicly on the divorce.
