Essence Festival is upon us!
It’s almost time to make sure your nails are done, your hair appointment is booked and your bag is packed! All roads are leading to New Orleans this Fourth of July weekend!
The 25th annual event is a special one not only because of the legacy ESSENCE has created, but because there are 2 key points attendees will need to keep in mind to make sure a good time is had by all. Below, check out the 2 things you absolutely need to remember to adhere to policies, navigate the festival and live your best life!

Clear Bag Policy
The Superdome has a super strict clear bag policy that we’ll all be forced to adhere to when it’s show time. You won’t be able to two-step and get your life to your favorite artist if you bring any bag that isn’t clear and/or see-through and 12” x 6” x 12” in size or a small clutch bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”. Anything outside of those limitations will not be allowed to enter into the Superdome. No worries though, we’ve stepped in to make that process easier with official ESSENCE clear bags that you can purchase here.

Download The App!
The ESSENCE Festival app will provide all of the information you need to optimize your weekend. You’ll need to register your attendance through the app, and then you’ll be able to keep tabs on your tickets, check in on event schedules, find your way with maps and even shop!
