ImageNation Cinema Foundation’s Revolution Awards will celebrate some very special honorees.
Ava DuVernay, Hill Harper, Melissa Harris-Perry and Black Lives Matter will be acknowledged at the organization’s Cocktails, Cinema and Revolution event.

The program will celebrate those who “inspire social change, blaze new trails, and advantage Black and Latino culture” by “contribut[ing] groundbreaking efforts in artistry and activism.”
Some past celebrants include Erykah Badu, Ruby Dee, Debra Lee, Spike Lee and Congressman John Lewis.
