Last night, Zendaya switched up her look and served a 70’s/Studio 54 look at the BET awards. “Zendaya is so vivacious-she loves switching up her look,” says celebrity hairstylist Timothy Wallace. “For the BET Awards we wanted to go edgier-and short.”
Get The Look:
Step 1: Start by prepping the hair with Motions Color Care Sulfate-Free Cleanser and Dual-Treatment Conditioner to seal the hair shaft and make the hair more manageable for styling.
Step 2: Next, use a golf-ball sized amount of Motions Versatile Foam Styling Lotion to hold and set the hair.
Step 3: Using a flat brush, smooth the hair into place and tame flyaways.
Step 4: Finish with Motions Light Hold Working Spritz for definition and edge.
Looking for quick shortcuts to get the look? “Don’t shampoo your hair-it should be a little ‘lived’ in,” says Wallace. “You can also sit under the dryer with your hair wrapped for at least 40 minutes if you have a fresh cut or relaxer.”
While many critics didn’t like the her hair, Zendaya responded on Twitter later that evening with two silly faces and a caption that read: “When people don’t like your hair but they tweetin bout you tho….. #idgaf #idgaf.”
