The 2016 BET Awards are underway.
Along with the much-anticipated Prince tribute, stars Jesse Williams of Grey’s Anatomy and actor Samuel L. Jackson are expected to be honored Sunday night.
BET announced Monday that Williams will be receiving the Humanitarian Award for his work in the Black Lives Matter movement. His documentary, Stay Woke, which chronicled the movement recently aired on the network.

Jackson will be taking home a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in film since 1972. In a statement obtained by USA Today, Jackson said “It’s an honor to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 BET Awards. I’m humbled to be recognized by my peers and to join the company of the exemplary recipients before me.”
The BET Awards will be hosted by black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross and airs Sunday at 8PM EST.
