Beasts of the Southern Wild star Quvenzhane Wallis is having the best day ever!
This morning the 9-year-old starlet earned her place in history becoming the youngest actress to ever be nominated for an Oscar. Tonight, she walked away with the trophy for the Best Young Actor/Actress from the Critic’s Choice Movie Awards.
According to NOLA.com, Wallis delivered a short and sweet speech.
“First I would like to thank God for all my blessings,” said the starlet. “I would also like to thank the film critic’s for this award. Thanks to Mr. Benh Zeitlin and the Court 13 family for thinking I could make a good Hushpuppy. Lastly, to my family, friends and fans—good night!”
