Standing tall at 6’4” with abs for days, Atlanta-based model Kenyon Glover is on the rise. Find out why he earned our highly coveted crush of the week spot. Ladies, get ready to drool!
“I am most excited by a woman who is humble, considerate, thinks of others, God-fearing, laid-back but sociable, spontaneous and simply downright lovable,” says Glover. We hear you, cutie!
Glovers tells us he is “determined, stubborn and loving,” and he enjoys a Friday night movie with his family in his downtime.
“I was never a bully because I was brought up to treat people how I want to be treated, and that’s with respect,” admits Glover.
“I contribute to the world to make it a better place by continuing to inspire, motivate and encourage everyone I come in contact with, especially the younger generation,” says Glover. “I feel it’s my duty to reach out to the kids and empower them to reach for the stars and to tap into their unlimited potential to make a difference.”
“I feel like giving up quite often, but what inspires me to keep going is my drive and sheer determination to be the best,” says Glover. “Since I was a kid, I always wanted to be the best at everything and I never give up until I feel I have reached my level of greatness. I feel as though I still have a long way to go before I reach it in showbiz, so, until then, I’m never giving up.”
“I started acting and modeling after I got hurt from playing professional basketball,” says Glover. “My basketball agent at the time sent some of my photos out to companies like Gatorade, Reebok and Nike, then those companies started hiring me to do modeling for them. Based upon that success, I decided to audit an acting class, and the next thing you know, I went on my first audition and booked my first lead role.”
“I do love what I do for a living,” says Glover. “It’s funny, because I never even considered acting/modeling when I was growing up. Back then, all I wanted to do was play basketball. Now, though, I truly love what I do.”
“My favorite hobbies include basketball, martial arts, boxing, working out, weightlifting, watching movies, traveling and relaxing at home with a glass of refreshing Moscato,” Glover reveals.
“I have two younger brothers, two stepbrothers, one stepsister and two half-sisters,” says Glover. “I’m pretty close with all of them, especially my younger brothers whom I talk to almost daily. They look up to me and want to follow in my footsteps which is why I always try to live a good, positive lifestyle. I want what’s best for all of them.”
It’s not hard to tell why Glover’s modeling career is booming. Just look at this brother’s steamy stare!
“My relationship with my parents is really good,” says Glover. “My mom and I are close. We may not talk as much nowadays with my busy schedule and all, but we try to talk as much as possible. My Dad and I are close but not as close as we should be. I didn’t see my dad much growing up because he was in the military and traveled a lot, but we are still close and still trying to get closer.”
“What I liked about my childhood was playing basketball and practicing martial arts every single day,” says Glover. “We trained every day and it was so much fun because our entire family, including my mom and sister, would go to the basketball courts and play ball. We all trained in martial arts together. So we did everything as a family unit.”
“Growing up in Monroe, Lousianna was great because it’s not a big city and everyone pretty much knew each other and was always so hospitable and welcomed you into their homes with open arms,” says Glover. “And everybody had a nickname. I don’t think anyone used their real names, so there was always a ‘June-Bug,’ ‘Big Mama,’ ‘Lil Mama,’ or a ‘Butch,’ and I could go on and on.”
We could stare at Glover all day long. Click that “like” button if you agree, ladies.
“My favorite dish to cook is Hamburger Helper,” says Glover who tells us he’s also happily married.
