Stars nominated for 2014 Golden Globes are reacting with great pride and joy, reports Us Weekly.
Among those commenting on their success is Kerry Washington, who received a well-deserved Best Actress in a TV Series nomination. “I’m enormously grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press for this honor,” she explained. “It’s humbling to be nominated alongside such great talented and hard-working women whose work inspire me.”
Actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, who also received a SAG nomination yesterday, says it’s a “huge” honor to be nominated for two Golden Globes. “The response to 12 Years a Slave and Dancing On The Edge from the public and media alike has been overwhelming and I am so very grateful,” said Ejiofor. “To have been a part of these amazing projects was a gift in itself, that the HFPA have responded in this way, truly means so much.”
Fellow 12 Years a Slave star Lupita Nyong’o is beyond excited about her nomination. “I can’t express the excitement I felt hearing my name called while listening to the nominations from Paris this afternoon,” said the beautiful star. “I screamed and the tears started immediately; I was so overwhelmed.”
