Just because the Golden Globes are over doesn’t mean Sylvester Stallone’s acceptance speech is, too.
The Creed actor took to Twitter on Tuesday to apologize for not including his costar, Michael B. Jordan, and director, Ryan Coogler, in his list of thank you’s on Sunday. The revision comes after Samuel L. Jackson criticized the omission on his social media.
Huh? Sylvester Stallon Forgets to Thank ‘Creed’ Director While Accepting Golden Globe
“Samuel Jackson is upset that I foolishly forgot to mention the brilliant Ryan Coogler and MB Jordan he is right I owe them everything,” Stallone wrote.
Jackson prompted the mea culpa by tweeting on Sunday, “#waitwaitwait, Ryan Coogler & Michael B Jordan, Thanks for acting with me!!! Loved Sly but…” But after retweeting Stallone’s apology, Jackson wrote, “I loved the performance @TheSlyStallone, You killed It! I know you love those guys!”
