Alicia Keys will host the Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles next month.
The Grammy Award-winning singer made the announcement Tuesday on her YouTube channel, telling viewers, “I’m soooo EXCITED to announce that I’ll be hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards! There’s so much in store and I CAN’T WAIT for y’all to see it ALL come to life.”
The nine-minute video also shows Keys being told over the phone that she’s been tapped to host the show, announcing the news to family and friends, and even trying on outfits.
Keys shouldn’t have a problem hosting the ceremony as she has 15 Grammys under her belt, and already has a little hosting experience. She’s hosted the 2004 Soul Train Music Awards, co-hosted 106 & Park and Live with Regis and Kelly. Keys has also hosted her Keep A Child Alive’s annual Black Ball. So, the Grammys should be no sweat.
Tune into the ceremony on Sunday, February 10 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
