Not that it’s any surprise, but Sunday night’s Grammys awards show is shaping up to be one that’s sure to have us talking for weeks to come.
Beyonce made history this year as the most Grammy-nominated female of all time, with her six nods bringing her overall total nominations to 53. “Happy” singer Pharrell Williams also earned an impressive six nominations.
We’ve gotten wind that Kanye, Rihanna and Paul McCartney will be gracing us with their presence to perform their new hit, “FourFiveSeconds,” and Queen Bey will be joining Common and John Legend on their Oscar-nominated song, “Glory.” A duet is also expected between Mary J. Blige and soulful newcomer Sam Smith. It’s rumored that the duo will perform a song from Mary’s new album, The London Sessions. Whew.
We want to know, what’s your favorite Grammys moment of all time? Was it Michael Jackson’s showstopping 1988 performance of “Man in the Mirror,” Tina Turner and Beyonce’s hot 2008 collab or Lauryn Hill rackin’ up all of her awards in 1998? Were you feeling Whitney Houston’s 1994 show-opening rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” or the Queen Latifah-led mass same-sex wedding ceremony last year?
Take our poll, and let us know in the comments if we missed your fave moment!
