Nominees for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards were announced on Friday with a number of our favorite artists making a splash.
H.E.R., Cardi B, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar earned a number of nominations, with H.E.R. landing a spot in the coveted Best New Artist category alongside Beyoncé’s protégés Chloe x Halle.
The Carters also received two nominations for their album, Everything Is Love, and music video, “Apes***.”

Black Panther Nominations
Various artists earned nominations for their work on the Black Panther soundtrack. Ludwig Göransson received a nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. While Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future, and James Blake earned two nominations for “King’s Dead,” Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Lamar and SZA landed nominations for their collaboration, “All the Stars.” The soundtrack also earned Album of the Year.
