
Last night, the Tony Awards welcomed the best of Broadway for an evening of class and sophistication.
This year Audra McDonald made history as the first Black actress to ever win five Tony Awards. McDonald won for her performance as Bess in the The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.
Actress Condola Rashad (pictured), who was nominated for Best Featured Actress for role in the Alicia Keys-produced play, Stick Fly, brought her dad, sportscaster Ahmad Rashad (mom is Phylicia Rashad) along for the festivities.
