From detailed nail charms on classic tips to unexpected buzz cuts, this week was all about putting an elevated twist on trending beauty looks. Additionally, ‘90s skinny brows doubled as faux facial hair, blush replaced under eye highlighter, and bold lips took on new tones (hint: it’s not red).
ESSENCE’s March/April cover star Beyoncé “Cowboy” Knowles-Carter held down her platinum color-treated mane with a black cowboy hat. Cracking a smile, gold grills pierced throuh her glossed, hitched lips as she cocked her oval French-tipped fingers into hand guns. Meanwhile, Tracee Elliss Ross landed in the Big Apple and paired her Luar FW24 look with a bright purple lip (try: MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in the color Everybody’s Heroine) and tight smoky liner on her waterline.
Then, FKA Twigs’ hairstylist Louis Souvestre buzz cut her sides ahead of the British Vogue party celebrating her cover. Opposite Twigs’ teased hair was a re-twist on Chloe Bailey which she paired with her pink blush. As for SZA, hypnotic inner corners, cat eye lashes, and metallic eyeshadow were enough to make us fall in love. To end the week, Lizzo jokingly drew on a pencil moustache to match her pin-thin eyebrows under fine bangs.
Below, take a look at 7 of our favorite celebrity beauty moments from the week.
