COVERGIRL just made a major announcement today, and we’re excited to share that the makeup brand’s newest CoverGirl is the beautiful Ayesha Curry!
Curry, who is the wife of NBA star Steph Curry and star of Ayesha’s Home Kitchen on the Food Network, is a natural beauty so this new role is definitely fitting.
And just last week, actress Issa Rae also announced that she was named a COVERGIRL. There’s clearly a lot of #blackgirlmagic going on at the beauty brand.
In an official statement, Curry said, “My philosophy is all about seeking joy and creating balance in life. I’ve shared a lot about how I do this with food, family and faith, and now – through my partnership with CoverGirl – I want to share how makeup helps create those moments of happiness, confidence and self-expression.”
Considering Curry’s infectious personality and practically permanent smile, we look forward to seeing The Seasoned Life author’s upcoming work with the makeup giant. For her first COVERGIRL campaign, Curry will be promoting the brand’s soon-to-be-launched Peacock Flare Mascara. The new product will hit shelves in November.
It looks like daughters Riley and Ryan will have some big shoes to fill now if they want to walk in their mama’s footsteps! Curry isn’t the only Black star to recently join the COVERGIRL family.
