If you caught a glimpse of Nicole Ari Parker at the BET Upfront, then you were probably just as wowed as we were after seeing her color-drenched lip and smoldering smoky eye.
We tracked down Ari Parker’s makeup artist, Renny Vasquez, who shared these insider beauty secrets used to create this red hot look.
EYES:
Since we wanted to keep her eyes clean and classic yet sultry, I opted for my go-to palette, Sam Fine for Fashion Fair Supreme Eyeshadow Quad in Amalfi Coast ($38). I used the warm beige color to give a soft highlight under the brow and across the lid. Then I smoked out the corners and under the eye using the warm shade of brown from the quad. To give her a finished look I lined the eyes with Makeup Forever pressed black shadow. Then, I used a lash from Sassi #73 with L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black ($9) on top and bottom lashes.
LIPS:
We moisturized with Carmex Lip Balm then went for it with Pink Nouveau from MAC ($15).
CHEEKS:
I decided to keep the cheek really natural but add dimension with Alluring Rose from Estee Lauder ($28). I then used a fan brush to sweep on Gold Deposit from Mac Cosmetics ($30) just to give a slight glow.
