Last night (June 15), Janet Mock looked simply ravishing at the 15th Annual National Eating Disorder Association’s ‘An Evening Of Unmasking Eating Disorders’ Benefit Gala.
The author and activist walked the red carpet in a metallic Christian Siriano frock and shimmered even more in glittery gold shadow, a glossy nude lip and thick chestnut brows. Also, let’s not overlook her curly ponytail, slicked and styled just above the nape of her neck and full of voluminous curls.
In case you were wondering, the golden goddess stepped out to help honor Siriano, who was presented with the NEDA Inspires Award.
The critically acclaimed writer and advocate for civil rights is also celebrating the recent release of her latest book, Surpassing Certainty ($17, amazon.com). The memoir takes readers through lessons, tribulations and experiences she encountered throughout her twenties, and gives fans a more in-depth look into the years that shaped and molded her into the woman she is today.
Janet recently paid a visit to the ESSENCE “Yes, Girl!” Podcast, where she talked more about the importance of friendships, most specifically sisterhood, in her twentysomething years. Take a listen here and be sure to check out more gems in Janet’s book.
