As the decade winds down, the people have been closing the loop on the best of the best for the past ten years. Not surprisingly, Zendaya and Lupita Nyong’o have made it into that vote with their newest Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear foundation campaign.
The campaign features the two beauties standing side by side showing off their flawless skin in the foundation. In 2014 when Lupita was announced as the maison’s newest ambassador, she was also making history as the first Black woman to be a face of the brand. And they made more magic when they signed on Zendaya as an ambassador earlier this year. She made history as the youngest to ever represent the brand.
Both actresses have been beauty crushes in the Black community and beyond for years, breaking barriers in representation in the beauty industry. So we’re proud to see consumers praise this ad that showcases their different melanin tones, and only that.
Many fans, influencers, and account pages have been reposting the ad, including celebrity hairstylist Vernon François, and celebrity makeup artist Sheika Daley. When melanin comes together this magically, it should be one to go down in the books.
