If the basis of your beauty look is all about brows and skin, we get it—you’re a beauty minimalist who would probably cut your beauty prep in half if you could—even if it is only a 10 minute routine. According to Mintel’s US 2015 Color Report, a quarter of women in the USA use brow pencils and “one in five women wear brow makeup on a regular basis”. So, chances are that one in five American women are spending a good amount of time every morning making sure that their brows are perfectly groomed. I am one of those women, but a recent treatment at Fracassi Beauty Lounge cut my morning routine in half—it’s called brow tinting and here are a few reasons why you should give it a go.
It perfects your arches. If you have a nasty habit of overtweezing your brows, brow tinting takes your arches from being barely there to supermodel status. Since the dye clings to the hair, your arches look fuller almost instantly. The whole process takes about 10-15 minutes.
It makes your brows bolder. If your brows are on the lighter side, then obviously tinting comes in handy for color delivery. And trust us —when sable brows meet their chestnut or chocolate match, the results are magical!
It lasts for 14-21 days. That’s almost a month of not having to fill in your brows. And, if our calculations are correct, that’s about 210 minutes extra every morning to dedicate to sleep, kids or coffee. You’re welcome.
Think of it like a rinse for your brows without the water (or the wait time and the messy clean up). While it is possible to tint your brows at home, we recommend going to a professional. It’s tough to make sure your brows are even when you’re watching a YouTube tutorial. And, aren’t you tinting them because you overplucked/tweezed/waxed in the first place? Happy tinting!
