1. The Coffee-Table Book of Your Dreams
Antwaun Sargent’s The New Black Vanguard: Photography Between Art and Fashion features stunning imagery by 15 prolific Black creatives. From Tyler Mitchell, the first Black photographer to shoot a cover of American Vogue, to Dana Scruggs, the lenswoman behind Rolling Stone’s historic Travis Scott cover in January, Sargent’s book honors modern depictions of the Black form.
“The New Black Vanguard is reflective of a wider world,” he says. “In terms of skin color, body type and [fluidity] of gender and class, it expands the notions of beauty and agency.” The work is $50 at aperture.org.

2. Start Your New Years With This Fitness Brand
A die-hard gym squad may give us that extra push to get in shape for the new year. The lifestyle brand Dope Fit Chick, founded by Sharee Lawson (above), encourages women to celebrate our fitness journeys, and its merch helps us stay stylish while sweating it out.
3. Get Familiar With #Cozcon
Within the bubbling scene of our young artists on the rise, Anthony “Coz” Conover is heading to the top of the class. Working under the moniker Cozcon, the talent crafts fierce fashion illustrations of Black women wearing designer getups. Through Coz’s eyes, Diahann Carroll is a fur-clad fashionista who embodies the words “I don’t spill tea; I pop bottles.”
4. Megan The Stallion Shimmers In Houston As Red Bull Presents: Thee Outlaw
Last week, Red Bull presented Megan Thee Stallion in her hometown Houston, Texas for a homecoming performance. The rapper rocked a blinged-out custom Bryan Hearns look that featured her signature western aesthetic. This is not the first time the pair have worked together, Hearns was also responsible for her 2019 American Music Awards gown.
5. Puma Debuts Latest from CALI Franchise
PUMA and Selena Gomez team up to re-imagine the CALI sneaker while keeping some of its original design cues. New features include hues light grey and soft nude, and newly designed leather details. The CALI Sport is priced at $90 and can be purchased here.
6. Lauren London Teamed Up With Puma For ‘Forever Stronger’ Campaign
Earlier this week, actress Lauren London debuted a new campaign with global retailer Puma. To continue her late boyfriend Nipsey Hussel’s legacy, London joined PUMA to release a heartfelt video that takes you for a walk through Crenshaw. Throughout the video, London can be seen conversing with community natives while sporting Puma athleisure.

7. Google Releases It’s “Year In Search” List
As the year (and decade come to a close), Google has released its annual “Year In Search” where the trillions of searches across news, fashion, entertainment, beauty, food, and more are tallied up to see what everyone is typing in their toolbar. Each year, a few searches have us left wondering, “who is really looking up how to dress like an e-girl,” – which was the second-most-search style this year.

Jean-Michel Basquiat art is reborn as his estate teamed up with DAEM to reimage luxury watches. Basquiat, a sensational artist best known for his crown motif, which celebrates black people as majestic royalty, tragically died at the young age of 27. His legacy lives on in museums, clothing and now watches.
