Don’t pack up your glossy eye makeup just yet, wet lids will still be in style next winter. Backstage at the BCBG A/W 16′ Collection, makeup artist, Val Garland was inspired to create a beauty look that mimicked performers as they leave practice. “The muse for the look is a performer. She’s come from a class. She’s very real. It’s all about good, clean, real skin. There’s a moistness to her skin— we’re thinking dancer, but not ballerina,” stated Garland. For gorgeous, dewy skin, she used Jay Manuel Beauty Skin Perfector ($38). She used brushes and fingers to warm the makeup and create a melted molten eye look using only three products: A highlighter, a gloss, and a gel shadow pot. We’ve broken down the look below!
What you Need:
Jay Manuel Beauty Creme Eyeliner in Outlaw ($24)
Jay Manuel Beauty Creme Eyeliner in Captive ($24)
Jay Manuel Beauty Ultimate Lip gloss in Wet ($20, at jaymanuelbeauty.com)
Using a shadow brush, press JMB Creme Eyeliner in Outlaw onto lids and blend with your fingers. Apply JMB Creme Eyeliner in Captive to the inner and outter corners of your eyes and apply wither a clear gloss (we recommend JMB Ultimate Lip Gloss in Wet) or enhance the molten look by applying a high shine, gold gloss over the lid. For the ultimate moten look, Garland used JMB Ultimate Lip Gloss in Desire ($20). Forget the mascara and heavy liner; you won’t need it for this look. Just brush up your brows and top your lips off with a peachy pink flush of color, Garland used Jay Manuel Beauty The Ultimate Lipstick in Virgin.
