This fall, it’s all about the drama. When you wear bright eye shadows, be sure to blend and contour properly. If you use a single hue, sweep it in a circular angle to create a halo effect around your lids, or take a liner in your favorite tint and draw a unique shape like what we saw on the Prabal Gurung catwalk (above).
And don’t worry, traditionalists. There’s something for you, too. A smoky eye–in any color–is on trend. Also try different textures–using metallic pops, shimmers or glitters is a great way to play up a basic dark eye. Keep scrolling to shop all of our favorite runway eye looks and more.
Whatever your mood, give your pout some pop with these striking hues in a glossy or matte finish. For a nifty spin, find a dark plum that’s nearly black but still shows hints of purple. If you prefer to go brighter, try a pink or red that mimics the color of summer berries.
Once you’ve found your tint, experiment with different applications. Swipe and line lips for full and precise coverage. For a stain effect, pucker up and use your finger to dab the lipstick over your lips. Keep scrolling to shop our favorite runway-ready shades.
Embrace what your mama gave you no matter the season. Gone are the days of layered foundation and harshly chiseled contours. For a soft look, opt for dewy cheeks in a pink or coral hue. But when you want to rock barely-there makeup, mix a bit of liquid highlighter with your daily moisturizer for an even complexion and subtle glow.
