Nude lips are still trending, as seen on the runways of Tom Ford, Pamella Roland, and Fendi. And they’re a great subtle lip when you want to do no makeup makeup, or accentuate another part of your face. My favorite three nude lipsticks give me the perfect color for my pout, and always garner compliments when I wear them.
My Milani Bold Color Statement Matte Lipstick, $6.99, in I Am Worthy is super polished and pigmented. I love it for special occasions and it lasts for hours without making my lips dry. It’s a nude that pops against my skin because of its deep shade. When I want to look like I’m not doing much when I’m actually doing the absolute most, this is the lipstick that I grab.
Forever 21’s Velvet Lipstick Crayon in Nude, $1.90, is so inexpensive — and fleeting — you should purchase three at a time. This baby takes me from early morning to late night with very little fading. I’ve worn this lip color for 14 hours before and the color barely budged. It can get a little dry once you start hitting the 8-hour mark, but it doesn’t damage your lips. I also have this lip crayon in wine.
I cling so tightly to my Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick, $14, that I have it in several shades. My nude blush is one of my go-tos for brunch and dinners because it doesn’t transfer. It’s also a wonderful nude base when I want to make another color pop, and great for layering with other nudes when I want to create a custom color. Someone once told me I looked “zombie chic” in the best possible way while wearing this shade. Apparently they were a huge fan of The Walking Dead.
