This month’s World Pride Month celebrations came to a climactic conclusion on Sunday with the annual New York City Pride march down Fifth Avenue.
This year marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, where members of the LGBT community led an uprising against police raids at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, so it was an extra special occasion.
There were several celebrations around the country, and around the globe, leading up to this monumental event and participants showed their fervor with hair and makeup.
So many beauty looks were executed in honor of pride, throughout the month Instagram was brimming with rainbow hair moments that made our beauty team quite proud.

When Raven first got her mane styled at the top of the month she teased that there would be more in celebration of Pride, and she did not disappoint with the added color. The style is unique and she wears it well.

Just a couple of colored strands in the front can still make an impact. This beauty made her rainbow pop against platinum curls, and she topped it off with dramatic lashes for a finished look.

@lealocs
From root to tip she did this color strong. Some rainbows with a lot of orange and red can start to look more Ronald McDonald than pride chic, so take lessons from this lady on how to get that color range just right.

These Chi Town locs look like they’re ready for a rainbow-colored party. The jewel-toned hues mixed with the bright pinks and oranges make this look fun, versatile, and universally flattering.

This beauty highlighted a different makeup look several days in celebration of pride, but it’s her fun rainbow hair that really stood out for us. And her orange beat is pretty cool too.

This gorgeous lady was ready to party no matter what and so were her fun ponytails. The pink hair wraparound and long flow of the ponies really set this style off.

This lovely baddie took her Montclair pride celebration all the way there with unequivocally bright statement hair. Her rainbow could probably be seen from the NYC March, and we love it!

Girls with curls love rainbows—at least this pride month they did, and this style was no exception to the beauty that we saw. The matching nails were more subtle than the tresses, but also pretty with great use of color.

@honey_combed_
This gorgeous gal donned rainbow hues from the head down and it was her rainbow curls that truly stood out (second to that beautiful smile of course). We wonder if that’s a demi-color or if she went all the way.

Red, yellow, green, blue, purple, this ‘do didn’t miss a color. The locs are beautifully twisted and the hint of color in the back was like a drop of rainbow magic.

Let her speak, and let her hair also make a statement. This beauty rocked the super low cut of rainbow hued hair and it is as dynamic and beautiful as her podcast’s message.
