In April 2016, the Rihanna’s ‘Navy’ rejoiced when it was announced that the singer would be creating a makeup collection under the tutelage of licensing company LVMH.
And although there have been plenty of cryptic teasers leading up to the rumored Fall 2017 release, we’ve finally gotten confirmation from the singer herself.
Earlier today (May 31), the Bajan baddie posted the Fenty Beauty logo, urging followers to join the “new generation of beauty” by joining the site’s email list before products debut later this year.
Although we’re still eager to see the actual lineup, Rih’s brief announcement means we need to start saving our coins for whatever’s coming. Time will also tell if the singer is grooming a makeup artist to represent the collection after its debut. Back in February, representatives from LVMH confirmed that they had started searching for a Fenty Beauty Global Makeup Artist.
“Fenty Beauty has officially partnered with James Vincent, who is leading the charge on their search for a Global Makeup Artist for Fenty Beauty. This is the only official information posted from the brand since the announcement of the launch in Spring of 2016,” they told Bustle.

“Any other post and/or chatter are from fan pages that are enthusiastically awaiting the launch and are unofficial and conjecture about the launch. We are just as excited as the fans and promise the launch will be worth the wait. Stay tuned for Fall 2017.”
Between this and the wildly successful Fenty x Puma collection, we think it’s safe to say that Rihanna has 2017 on lock.
