I’m not a fan of salves in the summer—it’s too thick and I’m sweating after a few minutes of trying it on. But, there’s something about a salve loaded with skin-enhancing nutrients (and a light summer scent) that makes me an instant fanatic. Enter Glossier’s Coconut Balm Dotcom that’s sure to give an instant aid to your most pressing beauty problems.
The balm itself isn’t anything new, in fact, when Glossier originated, it was dubbed as “Balm Dotcom” because it literally was the balm to end all other balms. But, Balm Dotcom version II is chock-full with a coconut scent that reminds me of my fondest summer memories.
To put it to the test, I applied the hypoallergenic mixture on my lips after a being under a cool AC unit all night (hydration is a must do in the morning) and on my cheeks for a summer, dewy glow. My skin never felt smoother. The beeswax serves as a natural emollient, which basically protects and keeps moisture locked in, so I even added a bit to my cuticles to help smooth the roughness and keep them supple. Mission accomplished.
Feeling accomplished, I even threw a bit on the ends of my hair to keep my strands hydrated. And, for only $12, it’s easily the best part of your summer.
