At 63 years old, Chaka Khan is still as gorgeous as she was when she first dropped the ultimate female anthem “I’m Every Woman” in 1978. It’s been almost forty years since we were first introduced to her fierce mane and infectious energy, and twenty-four albums later, Chaka Khan’s still got it—vocals, curls, skin and all!
The singer is currently on tour in Japan and posted a selfie that made us do a double-take. She’s still got serious style to boot—peep the sequin-embellished jersey dress. Her signature fiery red curls are still poppin’ and that gorgeous velvety skin of hers that we’ve always admired is still as luminous as ever. And then there’s her makeup game: the rainbow smoky eye, winged liner and fuchsia lip situation is seriously making us want to up our beauty game. At the very least, we can hope that at 60-something we look half as good as she does. Teach us your ways, Chaka—please!
Want to recreate the look for your next night out? Start by priming your lids and dusting them with a gold shadow and blend upward from the crease, concentrating the color in the inner corners of your eyes. Layer an indigo shadow in your crease and highlight your brow bone with a shimmery champagne shadow. Complete the look by lining you eyes with a black liner, exaggerating the wing. Swirl a flirty pink blush into the apples of your cheeks and sweep a complimentary matte pink over your lips. Done! Take a selfie and hashtag it #EveryWoman #ChakaKhanTaughtMe
