If the idea of bathing in chocolate isn’t appealing to you (minus the sticky factor), then perhaps you aren’t as much of a chocolate buff as you’d like to imagine. It’s no secret that dark chocolate is good for you, but did you know that it’s also good for your skin?
This fun fact definitely comes in handy as all of those chocolate bunnies pile up in your kitchen. If you’re trying to cut down on calories, then turn your bathroom into a chocolate spa for the day — it’s the next best thing to satisfying your sweet tooth. After all, a taste here and there can’t hurt, right?
Aside from being intoxicatingly delicious, chocolate has anti-inflammatory properties as well as antioxidants and anti-aging benefits that promote cell repair, increase the defense of UV damage and help firm and prevent wrinkles. Ground cocoa beans are also great for exfoliating and sloughing off dead skin. To make the most of all of that chocolate, try this recipe for a DIY Chocolate mask that’s perfect for hands and body.
