In the weeks since the now infamous
Brooklyn nail salon attack, where 21-year-old Christina Thomas was physically assaulted at Happy Red Apple Nails, many Black consumers have been conflicted about what to do next.
While some have pledged to only spend their dollars at
Black-owned nail salons, others are still okay frequenting
Asian-owned salons.
While there’s no clear-cut answer, it’s great to see celebrities take part in this ongoing conversation and use their influence to take a stand.
One person in particular who is using their platform to speak up in her own way is
Teyana Taylor.

The proud mother and wife made the incredibly kind gesture following a press conference she held for Thomas and her mom to show her support.
Many took to social media to praise Taylor following the news.
