A rosy flush brings life to your face. If you’re typically not a blush girl, a holiday party is the perfect place to debut your new look. Just use a fluffy brush to apply and focus on the apples of your cheeks. We like NARS Blush in Liberte ($30).
Violet lips stand out in a crowd (and look great on most skin tones). Tone done down the rest of your makeup to accomodate the violet’s wow factor—perfected skin, lush lashes and tight-lined eyes will do. We like Bite Beauty High Pigmented Pencil in lavender violet ($24).
There’s nothing like big, bright doe eyes to grab attention. To acheive that Diana Ross level fabulousness, lashes are key. Ardell is our favorite makeup artist-recommended falsie maker. But for so-plumped-up-they-look-fake (but aren’t) lashes, try Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara ($28).
Sweep bronzer right below your cheekbones and up toward your temples for a natural contouring effect. We like Cargo Bronzer in Medium ($29).
The perfect nude lip complements a sexy, bold eye or an all-over glow. Apply Trish McEvoy Lip Color in Barely Peach ($26) then layer on Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Citrus ($25).
Glittering gold eyeshadow captures the whimsical magic of the holiday season. To re-create Selita’s golden eye, Try Urban Decay’s eye palette, Naked3 ($54).
Winged liner is a simple way to intensify your look. Check out our cat eye tutorial, here.
Brows are everything right now. If you don’t have them, create them. We love Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mouse in Rich Brown ($28). Editor’s Tip: Dab your brow brush into the mousse then wipe the excess onto the back of your hand. Fill in your brows starting at the arch—not the inner part of your brow. Too much product in that area makes brows look overdone. Continue filling from middle to end, then go back and lightly brush product onto the inner section of your brow.
