Swedish officials have charged A$AP Rocky with criminal assault with the possibility of the rapper spending two years behind bars.
TMZ reports that prosecutors charged the rapper with assault causing actual bodily harm after Rocky and his team were arrested for their involvement in a brawl over headphones.
Two of the men in his crew have also been charged with the same crime, their trials are pending.
Rocky will await behind bars for his trial, which is likely to happen within two weeks. Once things are underway, the trial is expected to last three days.
Swedish prosecutors say they reviewed tons of evidence, including witness statements that back up the alleged victim’s claims.
Sources say the rapper avoided a more serious charge of aggravated assault, which would have come with a six-year prison sentence.
However, prosecutors told TMZ that they will not recommend the full two-year sentence and hope to begin the trial next Tuesday.
