In 2009, Alicia Keys did a duet with Beyoncé for her LP, The Element of Freedom.
The track, “Put It In A Love Song,” was a fan favorite and a big budget music video was made but, unfortunately, it never saw the light of day.
And, now we know why.

During a recent interview, Keys addressed why the video was never released and if there’s a chance for fans to see it sometime in the near future.

Keys said, “We had a ball in the studio, we had a ball doing the video, which was crazy in Brazil, it was outrageous…You saw pictures. But you know it just didn’t quite… the video didn’t quite capture the energy that I think that we really intended it to and we just felt like it was better to just hold it, so we did that…Maybe one day it will be like some old secret…I’ll put it on Tidal.”
