When Angela Bassett lost the Academy Award in 1994 for her role as Tina Turner, many of us thought she was robbed.
And it appear Bassett agrees!
The Black Panther actress was on “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday, when host Andy Cohen shared a comment from a fan who said that Bassett should have won the Oscar for her role in What’s Love Got to Do With It.
“Yeah, me too,” Bassett responded laughing.
She lost the Oscar that year to Holly Hunter for her role in The Piano.
Bassett recently stopped by Buzzfeed’s morning news show AM to DM, where she put her own twist on the film’s villain, Erik Killmonger.
That recreation alone deserves an Academy Award!
