Apollo Nida, the former star of Real Housewives of Atlanta and the ex-husband of Phaedra Parks, is back behind bars.
The US Marshals Service put the reality star back in police custody just nine days after he was released from Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey. There, he served five years after being convicted back in 2014.
Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison for conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud charges. He was also ordered to remit $1.9 million for his crimes.
“He was taken back into custody. I wouldn’t say it was an arrest because it’s not a new charge. It was an order of the court to bring him into custody,” a rep told the New York Post‘s Page Six, adding that he violated a technical condition of his release.
“We took him to Federal Bureau of Prisons and they will deal with it since he was in their custody,” a representative added.
The 40-year-old father of two was living in a halfway house in Philadelphia before authorities picked him up Thursday.
Parks, with whom Nida shares two children, has yet to speak on Nida’s release.
Being imprisoned didn’t stop Nida from finding love after his divorce to Parks in 2017. He’s now engaged to Sherien Almufti, who has appeared on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.
