It will come as a surprise to absolutely no one that Azealia Banks has thrown her hat into the ring as a potential performer at Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Trump, a former reality television star who is currently tangled up in a defamation lawsuit and has been accused multiple times of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior, is set to be sworn in as leader of our country on Friday, January 20. So, if Banks wants to perform, there’s still a bit of time.

The rapper took to Facebook, writing, “Saw the entertainment line for the inauguration it made me very upset. This is an EPIC moment in modern history and it should def be celebrated in style. I would love to perform at the inauguration.”
Resident internet troll Milo Yiannopoulos was quick to comment, backing Azealia’s request to perform: “You’re my first, second and last choice.”
We’re not sure if Trump’s audience is familiar with Banks or if the future president is open to letting her perform. A spokesperson for the president-elect recently stated that Kanye West, who met with the former reality TV host, was not invited to perform because the event is going to be “typically and traditionally American,” so image how they’d feel about Banks.
Still, Trump’s current roster of performers includes 3 Doors Down and Toby Keith, so maybe Azealia will fit right in.
