Beyonce joined her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams in full Lion King splendor at the WACO Theaters’ 3rd Annual Wearable Art Gala in Santa Monica on Saturday.
The theme of this year’s event was “A Journey to the Pride Lands” inspired by the upcoming live-action Disney remake. The event was thrown by Where Art Can Occur (WACO), an organization founded by Beyonce’s mother Tina Lawson and stepfather Richard Lawson.
ESSENCE magazine owner Richelieu Dennis was an honoree at the star-studded event.
“Wearable art has to be over-the-top,” Beyoncé’s mother told the Los Angeles Times. “It can’t just be a dress with a little necklace. You’ve gotta really go there with it!”
And many did go there with it! Check out what some of your faves wore.
