Well, it’s offical! Beyoncé has canceled her Coachella performance.
The “Daddy Lessons” singer, who had recently announced that she and husband Jay Z were expecting twins, had fans speculating over whether she’d appear at the annual festival. Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice confirmed via a statement to The Associated Press that she was pulling out of the festival due to her doctor’s orders.
“Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”
Earlier this month the singer gave a stellar performance at the Grammy’s, her first after her pregnancy acnnouncement.
Beyoncé was expected to perform April 15 and 22, it’s not clear if another performer will take her place.
