There’s a new James Bond film on the way, which means artists are probably lining up to take on its iconic theme song. And, rumor has it Beyoncé is one of the artists being considered.
The UK’s Daily Star reports that the Lemonade singer is set to sign on after talking with Adele, who co-wrote a Bond theme song, “Skyfall” in 2012 for the franchise’s 23rd film of the same name.
A source told the publication, “The two spoke before Bey’s first meeting with film bosses and Adele told her how co-writing and performing a Bond theme gave her an amazing career hike.”
The project might be worth it for the singer, who recently welcomed twins and has been seen out and about enjoying sushi and rolling around skating rinks. Plus, with Bey’s touch, the next Bond theme song could be another chart topper. Adele’s “Skyfall” earned her an Academy Award, Grammy and Golden Globe, reaching number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. If Beyoncé decides to take on the project the same could happen for her.
“This is the only project she is remotely interested in right now,” the source added. “Not many of the themes have been as successful – but there are tens of millions of Beyoncé fans out there.”
Looks like the BeyHive is about to hop on the Bondwagon.
