Serena Williams took home a milestone win at the U.S. Open Thursday night. But according to the star athlete, she wasn’t on par with her standard performance. That didn’t mean anything to fans across the globe – including entertainment’s first couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z.

Excited about the famed attendees, King told ESPN, “I looked up and was like, ‘Oh s–t! Beyoncé is watching.’”
Williams later told ESPN, “Usually when people are there, I try to play better, especially if they’re famous and they’re doing so great at their job. It’s like I want to show them that I’m good at my job, too.”
Jay and Bey weren’t the only ones there to support the tennis star – Williams current love interest, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, was also spotted in the stands.
