On February 1, 2017, the first day of Black History Month, icon and legend Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter announced that she and husband Jay Z were expecting twins, dropping an iconic Instagram image and post for the occasion.
”We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,” she wrote, “We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.”
With such news arriving on the first day of Black History Month in a year that’s already proving to be quite difficult, the announcment is welcome news. Twitter, of course, completely melted down.
Name a more iconic duo than the babies in Beyoncé's uterus… I'll wait. pic.twitter.com/qHOMOzg6FB
