Big sister Beyoncé headed to New Orleans this weekend in support of Solange’s pending nuptials with music video director Alan Ferguson.
Solange is reportedly set to tie the knot in front of approximately 50 family and friends in NOLA. The couple opted to kick off their wedding weekend on Friday at Indywood Cinemas because they have a history there: Ferguson discovered the theater when he saw a documentary and later returned with Solange.
During the festivities, the couple showed a film they made of how they met before playing Mahogany, the movie they saw on their first date. PEOPLE reports, Hayley Sampson, who owns the film house said, “It was pretty adorable. They were talking about how they met and that they bonded [over] this film and then showed everybody the movie.”

Attendees enjoyed the celebration with local eateries including daiquiris from sandwich shop Gene’s Po-Boys, and drinks crafted by bartenders from go-to Oxalis.
