Anyone who listened to Beyoncé’s new self-titled album is well aware of the prominent sexuality on the record. And that’s something the superstar isn’t ashamed of, according to part four of her behind-the-scenes documentary.
In the clip, Beyoncé says she wanted to celebrate her body after dropping 65 pounds of baby weight. “I was very aware of the fact that I was showing my body,” said Beyoncé. “I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds. I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body! I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and you can get your body back.”
Expressing those feelings was very important for the singer. “I know there are so many women who feel the same thing after they give birth,” Beyoncé explained. “I don’t have any shame about being sexual. I’m not embarrassed about it. And I don’t feel like I have to protect that side of me.”
