Each Halloween Beyoncé and JAY-Z come to slay, and their couple costumes never disappoint.
For this year’s Halloween costumes, JAY-Z and Beyoncé took on late rap legend The Notorious B.I.G and his protégé-turned rap queen Lil’ Kim. The Carters showed up to Kelly Rowland’s Halloween party over the weekend looking like dead ringers of the iconic Bad Boy duo in the 90s.
Just like hip-hop’s Queen Bee wore in Missy Elliott’s “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” video, Beyoncé rocked black suspenders, long black hair, a white button-down blouse, tight red pants and oversized black sunglasses. JAY-Z followed suit, expertly channeling fellow Brooklyn native Biggie’s iconic red leather jacket and gold-plated cane look, right down to the facial expressions.
In past years, Beyoncé and JAY-Z have showed up for Halloween events dressed as boxed Barbie and Ken toy dolls and characters from the classic Black film, Coming to America – each time including their oldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, 5, in the mix.
For their mother-daughter Halloween costume moments, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy went as Michael and Janet Jackson in 2014 and as Salt-N-Pepa (circa the 80s) in 2015 with a little help from Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson.
One thing is certain, you can never guess just which iconic pop culture moments the Beyoncé and JAY-Z will bring to life next, but the result is always a super fun Halloween costume moment to remember.
