Since their surprise wedding in June 2017, Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly have kept their relationship relatively private. Now, for the first time ever, the couple is speaking out publicly about their marriage.
While attending the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars party, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star opened up about when she knew the Brooklyn restaurant owner was “the one,” and he did the same.
“How could I not know?” Daly told ET Online. “Great heart, great person, love at first sight.”
The couple was introduced by their mutual friend Chef Roblé. They tied the knot in St. Lucia only months later. Moore admits she knew this was it on their first date.
“I knew the first day,” she said. “I remember calling Cynthia [Bailey] from the show, and was like, ‘I just met my husband.’ It was that kind of chemistry.”
Fans of the show have been anxiously hoping to see Daly join Moore on the hit Bravo series and he said he’s open to giving the people what they want.
“You may get a sneak peek of [me],” he revealed. “That’s all I’m going to say… I never said that I refused to be on the show.”
Moore, who kept her husband’s identity under wraps in the initial weeks of their marriage, said that she decided to finally introduce Daly to the world because she was confident in the strength of their bond.
“When you finally are at peace with yourself and you find someone who centers you and who loves you unconditionally and they just bring out the best in you, you want to be a better person for them,” the 47-year-old said. “And I feel like I want to be a better person for not only myself but for my husband. I think we bring out the best in each other.”
As for those have a negative outlook on their love, Daly isn’t focused on the haters–only his wife.
“Honestly, I just laugh at it,” he said. “I know I’m real, and she knows I’m real and that’s all that matters.”
