Ludcaris and his wife Eudoxie Bridges have been very public about their desire to have another child, but earlier this year the couple was dealt a heartbreaking blow to their efforts.
On her birthday, Bridges, revealed in an emotional Instagram caption that they had suffered a major loss earlier this year, unbeknownst to fans.
Bridges revealed that she miscarried a child and required serious medical care afterward.
“Lord, I thank you for the gift of life,” she wrote. “This year didn’t necessarily start off right for us. I had a miscarriage and needed to have surgery. It was very easy to complain and self-pity but I refused to let the enemy win. I stayed faithful and prayed up. I spent hours focusing on the many ways the Lord has blessed me. How could I complain when God has blessed me with the opportunity to already experience motherhood? I’m sharing this with you all to remind you to live in gratitude.”

Bridges continued, “When the enemy tries to knock you down, get even closer to your faith. My faith has been tested many times throughout my life but I’m only getting stronger. Life will not always go as planned and keeping a positive and grateful attitude will only bring more and bigger blessings. Thank you God, for your favor over my life. Thank you for my beautiful family and friends who have been so supportive. Thank you for another year!!”
Luda and Eudoxie got engaged and married over the holidays in 2014 and are parents to a daughter, Cadence Gaëlle. Ludacris, 40, also has two other daughters, Karma and Cai, from previous relationships and the couple raises Eudoxie’s youngest sister, Christella.
Both the Fear Factor host and his wife have been vocal about wanting to expand their family further.
In an Instagram caption in March, Eudoxie expressed her desire to have a baby boy and her hubby shared that he too wouldn’t mind having a little Luda running around sometime soon.
“My New Year’s resolution is to get a boy, believe it or not,” he told PEOPLE in December. “We’re going to try one more time,” he shares. “So all next year I’m going to be trying to get a boy.”
