Monica recently received an outpouring of well-wishes for her 36th birthday, but the best Instagram post came from her husband, Shannon Brown, who gave fans major feels.
The basketball player shared a stunning photo of the singer with the sweetest caption: “Happy Birthday to ya, Happy Birthday to ya, Happy Birthday Say Miss Thang, I appreciate you starting a New Life with me, After the Storm because you were Still Standing. You a special person and don’t ever let NOBODY and NOTHING stop you from continuing to show specialness to the world. Love you. Today and everyday is yours.”

Shannon cleverly incorporated the titles of her past albums in his message to his wife, including Miss Thang, New Life, After the Storm and Still Standing, which makes us want to dedicate the day to listening to all of Monica’s jams in honor of her birthday.
Each year the couple celebrates two wedding anniversaries–Shannon and Monica originally married on November 22, 2010 in a secret ceremony and then later married again in a lavish ceremony in July 2011.
